Prescription Charges
Some patients can get free prescriptions. These are available through the
NHS for:

  • Men and women over 60
  • Pregnant women and for 12 months after birth
  • Children under 16 (under 19 in full-time education)
  • People with low income
  • People on Income Support
  • People with certain chronic conditions

please ask at reception for leaflet HC11,
or ask your pharmacist,

Pre-payment Certificate
Anyone who has to pay and gets
more than 5 prescription items within 4 months,
or 14 prescription items within 12 months,

could save money with a pre-payment certificate (PPC).

Ring 0845 8500030 to buy one over the phone using your credit or debit card or to get more details.

You can also obtain an application form (FP95) at the website:- www.ppa.org.uk
