Some patients can get free prescriptions. These are available through
the
NHS for:

Men and women over 60

Pregnant women and for 12 months after birth

Children under 16 (under 19 in full-time education)

People with low income
-
People on Income Support
-
People with certain chronic conditions

Anyone
who has to pay and gets
more than 5 prescription items within
4 months,
or 14 prescription items within 12 months,
could
save money with a pre-payment certificate (PPC).
