If
you need to see a doctor outside surgery times, a duty doctor is on
call. Telephone 01822 613517 and your call will be diverted to Devon
Doctors On Call. An experienced operator will take your details. DDOC
will pass your call to the duty doctor who will contact you as soon
as he or she is able.
If
the duty doctor feels that you need to be seen, you will be asked
to attend Tavistock Hospital. If the duty doctor considers that you
are too ill to attend the hospital, the doctor will visit you in your
own home.

Minor
casualties are dealt with at Tavistock Hospital casualty department
that is manned by qualified nursing staff with support and backup from
doctors in the area who work on a rota.

will speak to an experienced clinician who can advise what you can
do for yourself and whether you need to call your family doctor. In
